October 19th, 2006 - The blog song is posted
Some time ago, Phil Laeger put out a call for a collobrative blog song. He asked readers to supply five elements around which he would write a song: theme, key signature, time signature, lyric line to be included and style.
The elements were suggested in the post comments —I believe my suggestion was the theme— and he has completed the project. You can read and hear the results at the link below.
- THEME - celebration
- KEY SIGNATURE - F#
- TIME SIGNATURE - 6/4
- INCLUDED LINE - “… find a penny pick it up …”
- STYLE - Derek Webb (a la Mockingbird) / Eliott Smith

February 27th, 2006 - Lt. Colonel Norman Bearcroft turns 80
Norman Bearcroft spent from 1969 to 1976 in Canada as the Territorial Music Secretary and Bandmaster of the Canadian Staff Band.
A birthday celebration. Tonight, a few of Lt. Colonel Bearcroft’s good NY friends assembled to give a surprise 80th birthday party. He’s an amazing man of God who has served faithfully in musical and other dynamic ways to worship God and assist others to do so as well.
