June 14th, 2007 - Join the largest Salvation Army group on the Internet
SALVATIONARMY3 was born in August 2004 because it was felt that there was a need for a place on the Internet where Salvationists and Christian Friends could come together and talk about things concerning The Salvation Army, their Faith, and all that is involved within it.
We are now the largest and most active Salvation Army Group on the Internet.
We wanted a place where we could discuss how we can be better people in this world because of …
• Our belief and trust in God the Father.
• Our love for Jesus and all that He means to us day by day.
• Our experience of The Holy Spirit in our everyday lives. As the founder of SALVATIONARMY3 wrote when we first came into being …“It is my Prayer that this group stays a Holy place, where JESUS is the Focus of every Conversation, and “OTHERS” is the reason we meet.
I Love JESUS and THE SALVATION ARMY and want a great place to meet others who feel the same”…If you feel you would like to be a member of a vibrant and active Salvation Army group, please come in and join us. A Welcome awaits you.

November 17th, 2006 - Unsite Hit witha Cease and Desist Order
Joshua Sneed sent me —an others— the message below. I have used the resources at Unsite.org from time to time and am sorry to see it shut down. Josh has removed site from the web as requested and is looking for some feedback on the C & D order.
Hi - just a quick piece of info and a plea for your support…
Yesterday the Legal Department served me with a “Cease and Desist” order regarding Unsite.org that ultimately forced me to remove everything. The reason is unclear and was not expressed or even hinted at in the official correspondence. The only logical conclusion is that the decision makers (listed as Lt. Colonel Larry Bosh, Chief Secretary, NHQ and on down the chain of command) believe they must protect The Salvation Army from something. Maybe misrepresentation…maybe fraud…who knows.
They did not attempt to gather information first. In fact, our own Chief
Secretary, Lt. Col. Don Bell told me in person on Tuesday that the correspondence he received accused me of selling other people’s copyrighted works!
I believe The Salvation Army needs an online “resource bank” for two simple reasons: (1) to save all the awesome resources created by Salvationists & Officers in ministry and (2) to make all this stuff available to others. Unsite.org in its current form was never meant to be a final product, either – it has always been my mission to build it up and hand it over to the Army as soon as they saw its value; and I would never expect anything in return.
My next step, now that I’ve complied with the Cease & Desist is to respond through the chain that I still believe this is important, and I’d like your help in showing that I am not alone.
If you found Unsite.org useful in your ministry, would you take just a moment and send me an email at unsite.org@gmail.com expressing your disappointment and your hopes that the valuable resources you once depended on were important to you? Just today I’ve received letters from the Training Principal in Myanmar, a Corps Assistant in Australia and a Youth Worker in New York. If you join in, it’ll be one more reason for our appointed leaders to ask why so many people want Unsite back. Perhaps they will endorse an “Authorized Version” that meets their expectations.
Thanks for your time,
Josh

October 19th, 2006 - The blog song is posted
Some time ago, Phil Laeger put out a call for a collobrative blog song. He asked readers to supply five elements around which he would write a song: theme, key signature, time signature, lyric line to be included and style.
The elements were suggested in the post comments —I believe my suggestion was the theme— and he has completed the project. You can read and hear the results at the link below.
- THEME - celebration
- KEY SIGNATURE - F#
- TIME SIGNATURE - 6/4
- INCLUDED LINE - “… find a penny pick it up …”
- STYLE - Derek Webb (a la Mockingbird) / Eliott Smith

A new SA gear company from out of Australia. From the site:
We’re all about getting you hooked up with some great new gear for your daily fight to win the world.
We recognise that its important to be visible in todays world… we also recognise that its important to be comfortable and relevant to the space you’re in.. So we’ve designed an ever expanding range of clothing and accessories for the new Salvationist.
We create this product under a project called Turbine™, which continuously feeds resource into mission, at every turn, and is really innovative in the way it impacts all involved. Its based on promoting fair trade, and improving the lives of all involved in the production process. For more info on how it all works, click the link above. We think William Booth would be proud. We also think he’d dig our designs and we hope you do too.
Welcome to the Blood+Fire Supply Co!.

All we ask is that the lyrics would make Jesus proud (and our legal department asks that you don’t break any copyright laws)
